What is the Car Sharing?
The traditional Car Sharing service considers that an individual,
called "Service Provider", makes available a given number of vehicles with per-minute charges and/or per-kilometer charges.
Car Sharing is an alternative to your own means of transport to have costs saving.
What are Fast&Go Car Sharing characteristics?
Fast&Go Car Sharing is a "free flow" service. In this way the user isn’t bound to drive back the vehicle
where it was rented but can leave it in any parking area allowed by the service.
Car Sharing Fast&Go strength is the adoption of full electric vehicles designed for the "Battery Swap";
effectively, as an alternative to traditional charging points, automated service stations are provided to replace
electric vehicles batteries packs. Replacement operations don’t require more time of an ordinary refueling.
How does Fast&Go Car Sharing service work?
Fast&Go Car sharing service consists of different steps:
- Registration;
- Booking;
- Authentication;
- Rental;
- Rates.
The Registration
The registration to the Car Sharing service can be made via website or App.
During the registration phase, the user provides its personal data and chooses a PIN code to access the service. Subsequently, the user receives a smart card functional for his identification at the vehicle. The smart card can be issued by regular mail, at a replacement station or at an authorized service center.
The booking
The booking can be made in two ways:
- booking via App or website;
- "in view" booking.
As regards booking via App or website, a map informs the user about available vehicles.
Every vehicle reports the information about its remaining range.
With the "in view" booking, the user that sees an available car on the street can decide to book it using its own smart card, without use the smartphone.
The authentication
The authentication occurs at the vehicle.
It is divided in two steps:
- authentication outside the vehicle;
- authentication onboard vehicle.
The first step consists in unlock vehicle doors using the smart card and enter the vehicle.
The second step concerns entering PIN code on on-board display. This step ensures a greater security to the service user.
The rental
Before insertion of the PIN, in case you encounter a problem on board the vehicle, it's possible give up the rental
through appropriate command on display. In that case, a new screen will ask the reason for the waiver.
If the rental continues, a feedback screen will ask information about vehicle interior and exterior state. This feedback will allow to the service provider to guarantee a top car fleet.
Once the rental is started, the navigation screen is displayed.
During the rental it is possible make stops, taking care to lock the vehicle using the smart card.
This procedure doesn’t interrupt the rental.
At the end of the rental,
if the vehicle has a limited remaining range, the user can leave it in any served parking area.
If during the rental period the vehicle signals a limited remaining range, the user has the following
possibilities:
- end the rental;
- replace the battery pack in an automated Fast&GO station;
- use an additional range.
If the user chooses to end the rental will not pay any penalty.
If the user wants go to a service station to replace the battery pack he will receive a bonus in terms of minutes and/or kilometres.
Finally, if the user needs to continue the rental, can require the service operator an additional range paying a penalty.
In any case, to end the rental, the user has to follow instructions provided by the on-board display.
The Rates
The tariff implemented is a binary one.
The system calculates rental cost in terms of vehicle use time and kilometres.
To pay, the user uses the credit card indicated when subscribing to the service.
